The important part first: what leaves your browser

This matters more than anything else on this page, because you are uploading documents.

• The structure check sends nothing. Reading the file, pulling out the translatable pieces, putting them back and comparing the skeletons all happen in this tab. Your file never reaches a server. You can watch this in your browser's network panel.
• Translation sends the pieces, not the file. If you choose a translation engine, only the extracted text pieces go out — not the file itself, not its name, not its structure. Code blocks, URLs, JSON keys, subtitle timings and placeholders are replaced with tokens before anything is sent, because they must not be translated anyway.
• No translation engine is switched on right now. The free-tier monthly budget is 0, so the only thing this site can do today is the structure check — which sends nothing at all.

Where translation would go, when it is switched on

Translation would run on Cloudflare Workers AI, inside the same account that serves this site. Cloudflare is our infrastructure provider, not a separate company we hand your text to. Usage is counted centrally at Hub so one site cannot quietly consume the shared allowance.

We do not send your text to DeepL, Google, OpenAI or Anthropic. If that ever changes, this page will name the service before the feature is switched on, not after.

We do not use your documents to train anything.

We do not keep your files

There is no server-side storage for uploads in this build. Nothing is written to a database, because the database has not been created. The files you add live in this tab until you close it or remove them.

Downloads are produced in your browser from data already in the page. The file does not travel through us to reach you.

What we do receive

• If you sign in with One Sovasta ID, we receive your account identity — a subject identifier and an email address.
• Ordinary request data — the pages your browser asks for, with the usual network information such as an IP address, handled by Cloudflare.
• If you use a translation engine — the extracted text pieces and the target language, for as long as the request takes. They are not stored afterwards.

Your interface language choice stays in your browser's storage.

Documents you do not own

You are responsible for having the right to translate what you upload. A client's contract, an employer's manual and a purchased book each carry their own permissions, and this service does not grant them. We cannot tell from a file whether you are allowed to use it.

Deleting your data

Closing the tab removes everything this site holds about your files. Clearing this site's data removes your language preference. To remove your Sovasta account, use hub.sovetrust.com.
